Celebrating 602 Day and the Businesses That Keep Phoenix Moving

Phoenix has changed a lot over the years.

When I first moved to Arizona, the entire Metro Phoenix area was still under the 602 area code. As the Valley grew, the East Valley became 480 and the West Valley became 623. Watching Phoenix grow over the years has been pretty incredible.

The city has grown, new businesses have moved in, and technology has changed how people shop and connect. But one thing that has not changed is the impact local businesses have on our communities.

As 602 Day comes around, it is a good reminder that behind every local business is a person taking risks, working long hours, supporting families, and trying to build something meaningful.

That is one of the reasons Lazer Made has always enjoyed working with small businesses.

Whether it is through marketing, branding, engraving projects, lending, consulting, or simply supporting another local company, I have seen firsthand how much heart goes into entrepreneurship.

Small businesses are not just transactions.

They sponsor youth sports teams. They support school fundraisers. They hire local people. They create relationships. And many times, they become part of the identity of a community.

Phoenix has a strong entrepreneurial spirit, and 602 Day is a great excuse to recognize the people behind it.

If you own a local business, thank you for continuing to show up every day.

And if you support local businesses whether by shopping local, referring someone, sharing a post, or simply telling others about a good experience that matters more than you probably realize.

Community is still built person to person.

Happy 602 Day, Phoenix.
